I am really hoping that all the publicity around the release of the film War Horse generates lots of extra money for the fantastic Brooke Hospital. I don't think I will be going to see the film myself though, I haven't got enough waterproof mascara !

A spot of shopping and a coffee with girlfriends today . Thankfully I didn't see too many things I liked so the bank manager can breathe a sigh of relief. I'm wearing my cream maxi skirt and jacket from Warehouse and fake fur wrap to keep out the winter chill.

Just about recovered after the New Year festivities . Note to self next time a champagne cocktail is attempted go easy on the Creme de Cassis , especially one that fermented over many years in a cupboard.
