I have a good photographer friend whose signature colour is black . We recently discussed with my friend " The stylist fashionista guru" what the rules are when wearing black shirts . Here are his tips . He says never never wear a tie with a black shirt unless you are auditioning for the Sopranos or your occupation is similar to those in the Sopranos , then of course you can wear what you like . Black shirts on their own are fine but there is that fine line of looking like Tom Jones . Wear them casually , with a pair of jeans and you'll be fine he says .
